Our Story

We are a team of water industry professionals with a passion for solving complex problems to create value for our members and their customers. We have experience developing and leading programs for utilities, engineering firms, service providers, and technology vendors in the industry.

Regardless of which side of a procurement process we found ourselves in, we recognized how painful and inefficient procurement practices can be and how that can lead to poor outcomes.

Over several weeks while we were working through how to tackle PFAS issues across hundreds of sites we realized how many procurement problems our subject utilities and vendors would face. As we kept unraveling all of the PFAS-related procurement issues and listing them out, we realized the list of problems we created wasn’t specific to PFAS. Those problems applied to the whole water industry.

With 55,000 utilities across the country, hundreds if not thousands of vendors, and $744 billion of infrastructure spend needed in the next decade, we realized the best way for us to help the industry was to tackle procurement and deployment problems that are limiting innovation and optimization.

We built our company and platform to make procurement and deployment easier and more effective for both utilities and vendors. Admittedly, it’s not the most glamorous platform compared to some others available in the digital era, but it’s a helpful one. And being helpful is what we’re all about. It’s no coincidence that we chose the motto:

We believe that we will never have all the right answers for ourselves or our customers, and we never pretend to either. We believe we can best help people by knowing when we’re the right fit for a problem and when to pass the torch to someone else.
